Week 1. Brush and comb your dog before bath. Use a steel bristled brush or a de-matting comb to take out the mats. Always brush the dog before you wet their fur.New Lesson
Week 2: Get 2 or 3 towels ready to dry them after bath. Get a suitable shampoo for your dog. There are so many different types of shampoos around. For example, get a tearless and mild shampoo for puppies, a medicated one for skin problem, get a shampoo for white or black coloured fur.
Week 3: Run the water and get the temperature adjusted before putting your dog into the tub. Not too hot or too cold during winter.
Week 4: It is a good idea, before you wet the dog, put a little of baby oil in his eyes if the shampoo you are using is at all likely to irritate the eyes.
Week 5: Take 2 pieces or cotton ball and plug it into their ears. This is to prevent water getting into their ears. Never wash inside of the dog’s ear. This is harmful and can lead to ear problem later on.
Week 6: Having gotten the dog thoroughly wet, pour some shampoo down the back and work up a good lather. Then go the feet. Then do the tail and finally the head. Give them a gently rub down.
Week 7: Then rinse off the shampoo totally. Squeeze out the water once finished bathing. Then use a towel to blot out water from the fur. Give it a total rub down and blow dry with a hair dryer. Use a cool air to blow dry until it is totally dry to the skin.
Week 8: Use a brush to brush the fur while blowing to make the fur fluffy. Then use a comb to combe the fur to make sure there are no mats.
Week 6: Having gotten the dog thoroughly wet, pour some shampoo down the back and work up a good lather. Then go the feet. Then do the tail and finally the head. Give them a gently rub down.
