How to Create Apps using Python with Zero programming knowledge

Have you always wonder how to create applications?

The word programming or coding seems scary or alien to you.

You think that programming is very difficult to learn and for some it seems impossible to learn and understand.

You want to learn programming but don't know where and how to start.

But the truth is even a kid as young as 4 years old can start learning programming.

Over the past 26 years, I have taught numerous programming languages – C, C++, Java, COBOL, Pascal.

When I had the opportunity to learn Python few years ago, I discovered that it is a very simple programming language to learn, and to teach as well.

My son started to learn Python when he was 9 years old, and he could learn the basic programming concepts fast. Other kids who were younger than him could understand and easily learn to write code using Python. This inspires me to teach programming to kids too.

I chose to teach Python programming not just because of its simplicity but Python is chosen because it is a well-established fact that Python is one of the most popular programming languages in the world.

Everyone can code. In this course on "How to create Apps using Python with zero programming knowledge in 10 lessons", you will learn Python programming from scratch, and eventually create your own applications.

Many big names use Python for their products or services. Some of these are: NASA, Google, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Grab, Zoom and YouTube.

That’s why Python developers are in demand.

At the end of this course, you will discover that programming is fun and it is an important skill to acquire.

The approach that I will adopt is called S.T.E.P.S.

S = Step-by-step programming

T = Theory (Syntax and Semantics)

E = Exercises (Practice makes perfect)

P = Projects (Build applications)

S = Share (Learn by teaching others)

Quoting from Mark Zuckerberg, “In fifteen years we’ll be teaching programming just like reading and writing…and wondering why we didn’t do it sooner.”

So, don't wait anymore. Start your programming journey today. It will be exciting!

My interest in computing started when I was in secondary school. In 1990, I enrolled into a Computer Science degree course and learned programming for the first time. Initially, it was challenging because I couldn't understand how the code or program worked. However, I was very determined to excel in programming, and keep practicing to improve my problem-solving skills. During my postgraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work as a Computer Lab tutor in my university. I began to realize that I have the ability to teach and present.

Eventually, I started my career as a lecturer in 1995. Programming courses are not easy to teach but somehow I enjoy doing it until today. I often receive encouraging feedback from my students, and that has been my motivating factor in the education industry for the past 26 years. I'm really proud that some of them are much better than me in programming, and have become very successful as software developers. I know that I have the ability to deliver complex topics in a simple and understandable way.
